Nowadays, hair dyeing has become commonplace. Although we all know that chemicals can damage the scalp and hair, the desire to look good continues unabated. Frequent hair dyeing can cause permanent damage to the scalp! It's time to be aware of this.
Note 1: Do not wash your hair within 2 days before dyeing.
Chemical reagents can cause significant damage to the scalp and hair. Generally, the natural oils on our scalp can reduce this chemical damage, so it's best not to wash your hair two days before dyeing it.
Note 2: Perform a self-test before dyeing your hair.
Don't wait until after you've dyed your hair to discover that you have an allergic reaction on your scalp, because then it will be too late to take action! Before dyeing your hair, take a small amount of hair dye and apply it to the back of your hand or behind your ear. Leave it for 15-30 minutes and then wipe it off to see if your skin has any sensitive reaction. If not, you can use it with confidence.
Note 3: When dyeing your hair, you can apply moisturizing oil to the area around your ears and neck beforehand.
Hair dye is usually very pigmented, and if it accidentally gets on areas like the ears or neck, it can be difficult to wipe clean once it dries. Therefore, before dyeing your hair, you can apply some moisturizing oil to the areas that might come into contact with the dye, making it easier to clean afterwards.
Note 4: Do not wash or perm your hair immediately after dyeing.
We all know that freshly dyed hair doesn't adhere very well. If you wash it immediately after dyeing, the color will be washed away before it even reaches the hair cuticle. Dyed hair needs time to set, so even if the chemical smell is strong, don't rush to wash it. It's also common knowledge that you shouldn't perm your hair immediately after dyeing. Different chemicals remaining on the scalp can infect each other and cause deep damage, which is obviously undesirable.
Note 5: Hair dyeing is not recommended during menstruation, when feeling unwell, or when the scalp is damaged or sensitive.
It is crucial to avoid dyeing your hair during menstruation, pregnancy, or when you are feeling unwell. Otherwise, the chemicals may penetrate the scalp and reach your body's cells, exacerbating discomfort and potentially causing other problems. The same applies to scalp abscesses or open wounds.
