4. Jade Drink
Steep 15 grams each of Polygonatum odoratum and Dendrobium in boiling water and drink as tea. Functions to clear heat, nourish yin, benefit the stomach, and promote the production of body fluids. Used for dry and sore throat, hoarseness, dry mouth, and bitter taste.
5. Malva nut and melon seed drink
Two dried lycium seeds and 15 grams of raw winter melon seeds are decocted in water to extract the juice, which can be drunk as a tea substitute. This remedy clears the throat, relieves swelling, and promotes bowel movements. It is used for dry throat and thirst, sore throat, and constipation.
